SUMMARY:

The Information Technology (“IT”) Business Manager will be a key internal partner that administrates commercial and financial dealings of the PEI-Genesis (“PEI”) IT department. They will collaborate with the Global Director, Information Technology, IT Managers, and Finance and Corporate Services professionals, and interact with third-party vendors, to organize and improve spending management and general business operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is familiar with basic expense management and business operations concepts and can implement and own new processes to support both. The role reports to the Global Director, Information Technology and will be based out of our Philadelphia, PA, USA, company location. PEI sponsors a hybrid work environment at this time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• 5 years’ total professional experience in a related role. Experience in either IT, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration a plus
• Experience working in a medium size, family-owned company and/or a 2- or 4- year degree is a plus

ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and manage all IT purchasing, contracting, and invoicing, and perform service and asset receipts management.
• Obtain the necessary internal invoice approvals based on vendor, expenditure type, and amount.
• Categorize IT purchasing based on expenditure type and laisse with PEI’s Account Payables department for proper account classification and payments authorization and remittance.
• Aid IT cost assessments, such as two- and three-quote analysis, fair market pricing, budgetary planning, vendor discussions, and other closely related work.
• Manage the annual services and asset renewals calendar. When required, assist with service and asset disposal/donations.
• Help craft reporting to reconcile the Department’s budget performance to internally created programs and industry benchmarks.
• Work with IT service managers to address service escalations and priority requests.
• Help craft IT operational reports to gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of the IT department.
• Manage and complete ad-hoc requests.

TECHNICAL & MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES:

• You are knowledgeable about IT activities; however, there is no need to be an expert. You are open to asking questions and finding answers to better understand the activities of the Department.
• Can use a computer and productivity applications, like Office 365, CRM, Adobe, and eSignatures, to perform work duties and produce reporting.
• Experience working with vendors and organizing business activities, contracts, renewals, invoices, and billing-related items.
• Understand basic accounting concepts, such as prepayments, capitalized costs, and fixed assets.
• Have a high-level understanding of IT service management concepts such as incident management, request management, and change management.
• Can navigate the company and build working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively communicate, manage your time, and organize your schedule to optimize productivity.
